Orchestra!
The Maury High School Orchestra is widely recognized as one of
the finest high school orchestra programs in the nation, consistently
receiving superior ratings at Regional and National Competitions.
Our philosophy at Maury is that a school is a place where children
discover nurturing pathways for growth and success in their
lifetimes. But, they represent only one part of a child's total
learning community. Parents, teachers, community and business
leaders all have a stake in making their dreams come true by
paving the way with experiences and lessons relevant to the
real world.
The greatest task before us as teachers, parents, and leaders
of our community is to develop in our youth a strong sense of
self and purpose that endures in spite of their burdens. Our
common challenge, therefore, is to inspire and nourish in them
a thirst for lifelong learning.
